Lino Printing and some really gorgeous tea-towels!

Last night saw the first Lino Printing on Fabric workshop!

I had been really looking forward to this workshop as people bring their own unique ideas and come up with different ways to be creative here and I was excited to see what they would design!

And they certainly didn't disappoint - I loved every one of their designs and once they got into it their imaginations were ticking over and we ended up with multi-coloured and multi-layered designs. Some commented after that they were now thinking of more designs and couldn't wait to make some more!

It was also lovely to meet some more Twitter people - @knitnrun4sanity@notsogranny and @sparklyboa!

In future I will be making up kits to sell if people want to carry on at home.

So here is the evening in pictures -

All set to go!

Tea and coffee at the ready!

Completely absorbed by the cutting out process.

More industriousness!

I am now very much looking forward to the next Lino Printing workshop where we will be layer stamping on a set of cards! Sunday 14th July - click here to book!

First Workshop!

Betty Makes has seen it's first workshop!

Last night I had five lovely ladies in to learn how to crochet, they were so engrossed I found it hard to tempt them up with tea and battenburg!

I am so proud of them as they all picked it up much quicker than I had expected (judging from when I first learnt!) and some of them have already booked onto the next two workshops so they can learn more crochet techniques!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and when they weren't concentrating hard we chatted away and one even had uncontrollable giggles so we had a fun night!

I have spent the last 3 weeks getting together all the furniture together, painting it all and getting everything prepared and so I have now got lots of photos to show you all finally and some from last night too!

Do take a look at the website as I am adding more workshops weekly - I have joined forces with Jenny Tidman to offer you all wet felting and needle felting workshops and I highly recommend them as she is so talented and a great teacher!

I have also added gift vouchers as an option for you to buy gifts for people!

You can also sign up to the newsletter to find out all the Betty Makes workshop news too!

Here are some pictures of the studio and the first workshop!

These beautiful chairs were painted by Michelle of Snickerdoodles Unique and Shabby Chic - go check out her furniture for sale!

My freebie filing cabinet - was dark green, now very pleasing on the eye!

The counselling end - my day job!

All set for the crochet workshop

Concentrating very hard!
These two lovelies have stepped over from knitting to crochet in one evening!

Managed to get them to stop briefly for this lovely snapshot!
